Currently with the Medtech Accelerator on a interim basis and under secondment from Health Enterprise East (HEE), Stuart manages the HEE innovation portfolio and leads the Innovation team to achieve successful protection, development and commercialisation of NHS innovations covering medical devices, software, publications and training aids. HEE receives approximately 200 innovation disclosures per year and has on average 40 projects in development at any one time.
Stuart also leads a Belgian-UK Hub in the Regional Care Portals North West European project developing a telehealth decision support system to help identify high-risk heart failure patients receiving care at home.
Stuart previously gained extensive experience within information and commercial analysis whilst working for GlaxoSmithKline. Stuart joined HEE in 2005 after completing his MSc in the Management of Intellectual Property at the Queen Mary, University of London. Stuart also holds a Diploma in European Intellectual Property and a BSc in Human Biosciences.
