Board Member – Director of New Anglia Capital
Bill Jones is one of the UK’s most senior Intellectual Property specialists with over 40 years’ qualified experience in the patent and trade mark professions. He co-founded ip21, a specialist IP company in 2000 after successfully building up its predecessor to a four-office practice which he sold in 1997 to a pan-European IP group.
He is Chairman of New Anglia Capital Limited and in that capacity he and his Board work with the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership to decide the awards of funding to Norfolk and Suffolk businesses who want to grow. He has recently sold his founding shareholding in Huntley Spence Limited, a specialist London-based recruitment company, to a management buyout after having acted as founder investor for the last five years.
Bill is based at his company’s Head Office on Broadland Business Park just outside Norwich and has lived in Norfolk for the past 37 years. He is qualified as a Chartered Patent Attorney, a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney and a European Patent Attorney. He is married with four grown up children, all of whom were educated at Norwich School (and from whom he hopes one day to be able to sever all financial ties……)
